Simpson’s in the Strand
Covent Garden
Simpson’s in the Strand closed in 2020, having first opened its doors in 1828. At the beginning of 2026, just a few years short of its 200th anniversary, Jeremy King relaunched this legendary restaurant.

Few restaurants share the history or cultural significance of Simpson’s in the Strand. First opened in 1828 and established at 100 Strand since 1904, Simpson’s sits at the edge of Covent Garden, in the heart of London’s theatre district.
Reimagined by Jeremy King Restaurants, the revived “home of the English roast, the silver carving trolley and chess” will unite the traditional Grand Divan, theatrical Romano’s, the classic Simpson’s Bar, the seductive Nellie’s, and a small ballroom under one roof.

“If anyone can bring Simpson's back to its finest, it's Jeremy King.”
